quiche lorraine

The name of this recipe is pretty ordinary. It doesn't quite explain how delicious this quiche really is. It's so rich and flavorful yet not so rich as to prevent you from eating an entire pan (I should know).

quiche lorraine (my friend Annie)
3 beaten eggs
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup grated Swiss cheese
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
2 green onions, minced
1/2 cup Bisquick
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup chopped ham
1/4 teaspoon salt

Blend all but cheese, onion and ham in blender. Add last 3 ingredients, saving some cheese for top. Bake 45 minutes at 350. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes before cutting. Recipe fits in 9-inch pie tin. I've seen Annie serve it in a 8x8 or 9x9 before too.

  1. Just found your blog Camie and I definitely will be trying some recipes - but I think (hope) you mean 1/8 tsp of dry mustard instead of 18 tsp. :)

  3. We are LOVING CA - especially the weather and the cheap produce! We miss our friends in Hershey, but are so happy to be on the west coast. It's great news that you got someone to buy your house and are moving to Oregon. How exciting!
