cream cheese brownies










cream cheese brownies (my friend Suzette in New York)
Filling:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 cup sugar
½ cup chocolate chips
Make a 13x9 pan of brownies from your favorite recipe or box. Before baking, beat together cream cheese, sugar and egg until creamy. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop in large plops all around the top of the brownie and gently swirl with a knife to distribute throughout the brownie batter. Bake as directed on the brownie box or recipe. You will need to add an additional 10-15 minutes until the cream cheese turns golden brown.
What I have to say: measuring the chocolate chips seemed too laborious so I dumped in the entire bag. Not such a bad idea.
