chili bacon burgers










These were always my very favorite burgers. That is, until we went to our friends’ for a barbecue and Brandon grilled some of the meanest burgers (but in a nice way) on which we smeared Annie’s Blue Cheese Butter on top.

chili bacon burgers (Cooking Light 15 Minute Cookbook)
1 pound package ground sirloin patties (4 patties)
¼ cup nonfat mayonnaise
½ cup chipotle salsa
2 tablespoons bacon bits (I use the real deal)
4 lettuce leaves
4 hamburger buns
4 thin slices sweet onion
4 slices tomato
Place patties on grill over medium-hot coals; grill, covered, 6 minutes on each side or until done. While meat cooks, combine mayo, salsa, and bacon bits. Place lettuce leaves on bottom halves of buns; place patties on lettuce. Top with onion, 2 tablespoons mayo mixture and remaining bun halves.

3 tablespoons blue cheese
2 tablespoons butter, softened
Mix and serve as a condiment on grilled cheeseburgers for a really, really impressive mouth-watering burger.
