How do you get your one-year old to eat kale? Here's your answer: kale chips. My kids loved them and referred to them as kettle chips.
Have you ever wondered the nutritional benefits of kale? My friend spells them out at her
blog.
baked kale chips (adapted from
allrecipes.com)1 bunch kale
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/2 -1 teaspoon salt
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees. Line a non insulated cookie sheet with parchment paper.
With a knife or kitchen shears carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry kale with a salad spinner. Drizzle kale with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning salt.
Bake until the edges brown but are not burnt, 10 to 15 minutes.
I saw these and was debating their appeal...maybe my husband will eat kale this way!
